Characteristics of chain couplings

The chain coupling has the advantages of simple structure, convenient assembly and disassembly, compact size, light weight, certain compensation ability, low installation accuracy requirements, reliable operation, long life, and low cost.

Chain couplings use a common chain to mesh with two parallel sprockets with the same number of teeth at the same time. The main difference between chain couplings with different structural types is the use of different chains. Common ones include double-row Roller Chain couplings, single-row roller chain couplings, toothed chain couplings, nylon chain couplings, etc. It is suitable for high temperature, humid and dusty working conditions. 

It is not suitable for high speed, severe impact load and transmission of axial force. The chain coupling should work under the conditions of good lubrication and protective cover.
