The power lock is a bondless coupling device. Its principle and purpose is to generate a huge tightening force between the inner ring and the shaft, and between the outer ring and the wheel hub through the action of a high-strength tension bolt to achieve a bondless coupling between the machine part and the shaft.
When bearing load, the torque, axial force or a composite load of both is transmitted by the joint pressure of the expansion sleeve and the machine part, the shaft and the associated friction force.
The power lock connection mainly has the following advantages: high centering accuracy; easy installation/adjustment/disassembly; high strength, stable and reliable connection; it can protect the equipment from damage during overload, and is especially suitable for transferring heavy loads.
